We have been a bit silent this new year, as we were working on bringing this new and improved dealfish to you. Most of the changes we made were based on the feedback that so many of you have given to us and we really hope you like it.

We got many messages from buyers and sellers about the difficulty in finding what they were looking for, so we changed the layout. On this new front page, you can see the categories of items available for sale immediately and can click on what you’re interested in without having to search. In addition to the new, easier to read layout, we have also upgraded some of our functions to make dealfish even easier for you to use. Some of these new functions include:

- Faster Search. Use our drop down menus and you can narrow the criteria of your search to get the best results.
- Improved Ad Posting Page. Enter even more descriptions about the item you are selling and let willing buyers find you faster
- Share This. It’s now easier to send an ad to your friends using the Share This app.

It’s still the beginning of this New Year; dealfish has so much more in store for the rest of the year. We do want to remain the Number 1 classifieds site in Nigeria and serve you better. On 24 October 2011 MIH Internet (Sub-Saharan Africa) advised that, following a strategic review of its investment priorities, it will be closing down the Kalahari Kenya and Nigeria operations with immediate effect.
MIH launched online retail services in Kenya and Nigeria under the Kalahari brand in October 2009 and January 2010, respectively. This was pioneering work which carried considerable risk. As the performance of the service has been below expectation since launch and reaching profitability was not a reasonable near-term prospect, a decision was made to refocus efforts on other group businesses within the region. Specifically, our Dealfish and Mocality sites will continue to operate.
